Deer were first imported and released into New Zealand
in 1860 and from this point in time the Acclimatisation Societies emerged to liberate Deer, Trout and Salmon into the environment
“with the intent of naturalisations in order to introduce commercially
valuable species or game species.” The result of the Acclimatisation Societies mission and mandate for 60 years
is today a sustainable supply of hunt-able game both in the wild and bred on large estates to give fair chance hunting to
a range of fitness levels and special interests. Here at Takaka Valley Adventures we cater for the rifle and
bow hunter. We have a large range of trophy Red, Wapiti and Fallow
deer, Chamois, Tahr and Boar that can be hunted both in the wild or on large estates.
To get to the remote
spectacular best hunting we fly in and out by helicopter and our operator has three generations of experience
with a top fleet of machines ensuring comfort and safety.
